Jill Loyden Fractures Hand, Out For Up to 3 Months

Sky Blue and USWNT goalkeeper Jill Loyden sustained an injury during team training in Portugal this week. Not much is known at this time but US Soccer has confirmed that Loyden broke a bone in her hand. Estimated recovery time is up to three months. With the NWSL opening weekend only 5 weeks out, Loyden will most likely miss the part of the inaugural season.

With Hope Solo out with a wrist injury, US goalkeeping duties will be left up to veteran Nicole Barnhart and the un-capped Ashlyn Harris.
